SymDex Privacy Policy & Disclaimers
SymDex is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your health data is personal and sensitive, and we treat it with the utmost care and respect.
All your data is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your health information on external servers.
This includes:
Symptom logs and severity ratings
Medication records and schedules
Photos you attach to symptom entries
Analytics and patterns derived from your data
Permissions We Request
SymDex requests the following permissions to function properly:
Camera: To take photos of symptoms for your records
Photo Library: To attach existing photos to symptom logs
Notifications: To remind you to log symptoms and take medications
Data Export and Sharing
You have full control over your data. You can export your symptom reports as PDF files and share them with healthcare providers or keep them for your records. When you export or share data, it is only sent to the apps and contacts you explicitly select.
SymDex uses Sentry for crash reporting and error monitoring to help identify and fix bugs. Sentry may collect technical information such as device type, operating system version, and app crash logs. No personal health data, screenshots, or identifiable information is sent to Sentry. You can learn more about Sentry’s privacy practices at sentry.io/privacy.
Aside from crash reporting, SymDex does not integrate with third-party analytics or advertising services. We do not sell, rent, or share your health data with anyone.
You can delete all your data at any time from the Settings screen. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Uninstalling the app will also remove all locally stored data.
SymDex is not intended for use by children under 13 without parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
