Trailblazers

Teaching with Technology Trailblazers is an exciting new program brought to you by the departments of Educational Technology and K-12 Curriculum that will tie professional growth opportunities to classroom technology deployment. The program will enable principal selected middle and high school teacher leaders to become Digital Classroom experts, Trailblazers, within their subject area. These teachers will build the school’s digital culture by learning to use tools and a common language through instructional practice tied to standards. Trailblazers will have the training, tools and team support to deliver instruction in an engaging classroom that today’s students expect.

This team of Teacher Trailblazers will be provided in-depth training in a blended format this summer and throughout the upcoming school-year. Each participant will receive the latest technology tools, such as a class set of mobile computers and an interactive flat panel display. By building capacity through this team at your school, these leaders will be able to model and share their expertise as the instructional shifts enabled by these tools move to all classrooms.
