Dear Falcon Community,
August is quickly approaching! With that being said, the start of a new school year is "just around the corner." Though much has happened in the past 5 months that have caused "education" to look completely different than what we may be accustomed to, I am confident that Forest Hill Community High School will continue to provide a strong and optimal educational experience for all of our students. Our teachers and students will follow the "regular" bell schedule through distance learning. Teachers will be "live" during the first 40 minutes of the instructional period and will provide students an array of instructional methods which may include teacher driven instruction, small group, various forms of media, and many more! Additionally, our teachers have been working hard to prepare for distance learning by participating in professional opportunities centralized around distance learning and technology.
Additionally, Forest Hill Community High School, aligned with the School District of Palm Beach County, will help provide every student with his/her own electronic device to utilize during distance learning. If a student is having difficulty "connecting" or utilizing an electronic device, please reach out to our school to see how we can assist. Though the actual setting of a student's educational experience has changed (from school to home or "brick to click"), it is the expectation that students attend "school" during the regular scheduled hours of 8:50am-3:30pm. Student attendance will be taken at the commence of each period and all credits earned will count towards his/her graduation requirements.
I truly want to thank each one of you for helping make this transition for our students, staff, and community, successful. "We are all in this together," and I am sincerely looking forward to the 2020-2021 school year!!! LET'S GO FALCONS!!!
Ms. E. Rivera
