Your guide to timely information in the Palisades School District.
Dear Palisades Community,
The Palisades School District remains committed to academic excellence for our students while serving as responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars. Over the past 20 years, our district has experienced a steady and significant decline in student enrollment. Today, we continue to operate and maintain the same number of school facilities as we did when our student population was 40% higher. Running underutilized buildings consumes financial resources, such as utilities, transportation, maintenance, staffing and other operational expenses that could otherwise be directed toward educational programs and services and/or reducing budgetary expenses for our district.
Currently, the School Board is evaluating facility consolidation as a potential solution to minimizing expenses in the district, and community input is a vital part of this process.
Please take a few minutes to share your perspective by answering the survey questions and help us to guide our future planning. Submit one response per adult. Do not include names of students or private student information in written comments. Estimated completion time: 10–15 minutes.
The survey will close on Sunday, November 8, 2026 at 11:59PM.
You may access this survey via the link below:

Find out what's happening in our schools! The Palisades School District is comprised of three elementary schools (Durham Nockamixon, Springfield, and Tinicum), Palisades Middle School, and Palisades High School.
Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign that encourages students to make healthy, safe, and responsible choices by living drug-free.
The week focuses on raising awareness about the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, vaping, and other drugs while promoting positive decisions that support students' health, well-being, and future success.
At PALMS, Red Ribbon Week is an opportunity to remind our students that the choices they make matter. We encourage students to:
Make healthy and responsible decisions.
Understand the risks associated with drugs and other harmful substances.
Surround themselves with positive influences.
Build confidence to make good decisions, even when faced with peer pressure.
Take pride in making choices that support their goals and future.
Every student at DN and Tinicum had the opportunity to visit the FABLAB this week! The work in the FABLAB was connected to the content students are learning in their classroom with the added bonus of design and fabrication using FABLAB equipment.
All students enjoyed their time in the LAB!

We are committed to providing students with a positive and enjoyable dining experience. As part of our ongoing effort to support the needs of our school community, we are partnering with Whitsons Culinary Group to gather feedback on our food service program.
We invite students, families, faculty, and staff to participate in a brief survey and share their experiences and perspectives. Your feedback will help us better understand what is working well and identify opportunities to further enhance our meal program.
The Whitsons K-12 Customer Feedback Survey can be found here: HTTPS://XMP.INSIGHT-SURVEYS.COM/S/FALL-2026
Survey will be open from October 19th through November 6th.

From November through January, as we move through holidays and winter settles in, grief may feel especially heavy. Facing the Mourning offers a gentle space to share your experience and bear witness for others.
Who is this group for?
If you are grieving a death, whether it happened recently or a long time ago, whether it was sudden or expected, you are welcome here. This group is built on listening to others, sharing of yourself, and simple, supportive activities. Because trust grows over time, please plan to attend all five meetings.
What we’ll do:
Over five sessions, you will be invited to create a memorial or reflection for the person who died in whatever way feels right to you. You may write a letter, try out journaling, and share your experience while supporting others. The final meeting offers space to reflect on the season and notice where you are now.
Logistics:
We will gather in the library at Palisades Middle School with up to 10 adults.
Meetings are on Thursdays: November 5, November 19, December 3, December 17, and January 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Each session includes 90 minutes of group time and 30 minutes to unwind and connect.
The cost is $65, which includes a workbook you will receive at the first meeting.
Register online at: https://forms.gle/zxXSh5XFR3NiWErm9
Your facilitator:
I am Carolyn Brzezicki. I began facilitating grief support groups 20 years ago and am certified in grief education, the study of death and dying, death doula work, and hospice and palliative nursing. I look forward to meeting you.
The Palisades Community Foundation is looking for volunteers as well as two additional board members to join our team in supporting arts, education, and wellness in the Palisades community. We are very excited about our upcoming projects for this school year, including:
Community Holiday Giving: Organized in conjunction with the school district. Last year, thanks to your support, we provided nearly $10,000 in gift cards and presents to local families.
20th Annual Family Fun Run and 1-Mile Walk: Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 22, 2027. This event is a great community opportunity to focus on both physical and mental wellness.
The Pirate Ship Rebuild: This iconic tribute will be rebuilt at "The Walter" (Palisades High School Stadium). We are thrilled to bring back our beloved ship with the support of the School Board of Directors and community members!
Website & Social Media Refresh: We are updating our online presence to better share our mission and impact with the community.
For more information, text or call Donna at 484-943-0448.
FreshConnect Bucks County provides FREE, fresh produce to our residents facing hunger. They deliver in the PALMS parking lot on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month from 11:00am to 12:00pm.

*** PLEASE NOTE *** Beginning this year, FreshConnect will move to a seasonal schedule. FreshConnect will take a planned winter pause beginning December 18, 2026 and will reopen during the week of April 5, 2027.
