Let's Connect!
There’s something magical about this season in our corner of Pennsylvania. As our students, families, and neighbors head outdoors to enjoy the changing colors and cozy bonfires, it’s also a chance to keep learning together. Whether it’s a science lesson in a leaf pile or a conversation during a hike along the river, autumn gives us endless ways to connect and grow.
Don't forget to check out the community flyers in the carousel at the end of this newsletter. There is A LOT of great stuff happening in our area.
Enjoy this week's Patch!
Following is a handful of photo highlights. THANK YOU to our parent photographers and friends who share these photos for the newsletter every week. It would not be possible without you. You are appreciated! (Click or tap on an image to stop the carousel. Use the arrows to go forward and back at your own pace.)
Your guide to timely information in the Palisades School District.
On Thursday, October 2, the Palisades Administration traveled to PSBA (Pennsylvania School Board Association) offices in Mechanicsburg, PA to participate in a day of safety training and de-escalation strategies at the School Safety Institute.
The immersive simulation training environment allowed them to navigate various scenarios, from disruptive behavior to external threats, using real-time adjustments by trainers to experience and learn how to manage critical safety situations.
We recently lost two Palisades legends. Our deepest condolences to their families, loved ones and friends.
Both men were honored before the National Anthem at last Friday's Homecoming game.
The deadline for submitting clearances to the district for the current is school year is October 31st. Any clearances submitted after that time may be accepted but volunteering opportunities may be denied until the following school year.
Clearances must be current within a year of the date on which you submit them to the district. Clearances and TB test results can be submitted to the building in which you wish to volunteer, or mailed to the Superintendent's secretary's office at Palisades School District, 39 Thomas Free Drive, Kintnersville, PA 18930.

The following is the schedule for Picture Retake Day. This will take place on Friday, October 24, and will be held in the high school library. This is an opportunity for faculty, staff, or students to obtain a photo or ID if they missed our first picture day or to have a retake.
All faculty, staff, and students are required to have an ID and their photo taken during the school year, even if they do not plan to purchase a photo package.
Students will be called down throughout the day by last name via the intercom. If getting a retake, students should bring their original package of photos when they come for the retake.
Orders can be placed in person using print envelopes, which can be picked up in the main office. The online school code is PALHS25, and anyone placing an online order should not bring an envelope. The link to order is only active until midnight on picture retake day. Afterward, you must wait to be issued a form that will include your code.
Virtual students may come anytime during this schedule and must check into the office. No parents, family members, or others will be allowed into the building. You may need proof of identification for various reasons within the community. It is advised that you attend picture retake day during the scheduled time frame for this purpose if you missed the first picture day.
