Short Biography

Émilie is a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford and a Data Specialist at the Archaeology Data Service in the Department of Archaeology at the University of York. She also is the Co-Director of the Cuneiform Digital Library Initiative (https://cdli.mpiwg-berlin.mpg.de/). Topically, her expertise revolves around the Sumerian language and the social history of the related cultures in Mesopotamia. She is interested in addressing questions of human-environment interactions on the long-durée using cuneiform sources to complement archaeological data.
