Code of Conduct Committee 2019-2020


The Paintsville Board of Education will adopt a code of student rights and responsibilities for secondary schools from recommendations of a committee composed of students (2), faculty (2), parents (2) and school administrative personnel (2) along with (1) member of the school board for the 2019/2020 school year. Committee membership is elected as one year terms.


Nominations for teacher membership to the committee will be accepted via email to superintendent designee, Jami Ward. Nominations must be made via email and then accepted by email prior to September 5, 2019 at 4:00 pm. One teacher from each building will be represented on the committee.

Nominations for student membership to the committee will be accepted via email to superintendent designee, Jami Ward. Nominations must be made via email and then accepted by email prior to September 5, 2019 at 4:00 pm

Nominations for parent membership to the committee will be accepted via email to superintendent designee, Jami Ward. Nominations must be made via email and then accepted by email prior to September 5, 2019 at 4:00 pm

Voting Process:

Elections for student and parent committee members will be held in the Paintsville High School office under the supervision of the superintendent designee, Jami Ward on September 9, 2019 and September 10, 2019 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm . No absentee ballots will be accepted.


Elections for teacher committee members will be held in the Paintsville Board Office under the supervision of the superintendent on September 9, 2019 and September 10, 2019 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. No absentee ballots will be accepted.


School administrative personnel will be appointed by the superintendent.

Local school board member will be appointed by the school board.
