Talya is a Transportation Engineer Specialist with the KY Transportation Cabinet. She currently works in the Division of Construction in Frankfort as a construction liaison. Although originally from Louisville, KY, Talya attended the University of Kentucky and graduated in 2014 with a degree in Civil Engineering. During college, she was awarded the KYTC Engineering Scholarship and began working for the Cabinet upon graduation. Most of her career has been in highway construction with the Cabinet but she also worked in the industry for 4 years and worked a year in project development with KYTC. 

 In addition to her full-time job at the Cabinet, Talya also serves as an Officer of the KY Association of Transportation Engineers and serves on the board of the WTS Kentucky Chapter.

Talya resides in Lawrenceburg, KY with her husband Kody and their rambunctious 3 year old, Eleanor.
