James Markual Reed, more often known as Mark, is the General Manager for Hamilton-Hinkle Paving in Georgetown, Kentucky. After graduating from Powell County High School and Eastern Kentucky University, Mark began his career with Commonwealth Crushing in the Spring of 1988. His first assignment was crushing stone on the current Toyota Power Train site here in Georgetown. By the Fall of 1988, he was a full-time employee with Hinkle Contracting in Paris, Kentucky. After two years with Hinkle Contracting, Mark was hired by Hamilton-Hinkle Paving (formerly Hamilton, Hinkle & Ruth Paving).
During the last 35 years as General Manager, Mark has overseen much of the growth here in Georgetown. From numerous driveways, subdivisions, businesses such as Wal-Mart and Toyota expansions and maintenance, to the bypass and schools. He has also overseen the Toyota Test Track, Airport maintenance and expansions on I-75. During the widening on I-75 the company received a coveted NAPA award.
Not only has Mark been instrumental in the area of asphalt paving, he has been an active member, as well as serving on committees with the Georgetown-Scott County Chamber of Commerce. Mark may be a resident of Powell County, about 50 miles east of Georgetown, but he has been active and committed to ensuring growth for Georgetown and Scott County.
Mark Reed is a life long resident of Stanton, Kentucky. He and his wife, Maria, have been married for 33 years. They are parents to two sons, and he is the proud Papa to grandchildren Kaitlyn and Trevor. He has served on multiple PAIKY committees, including the Winter Training School, andÂ
