Grant Gabbard is a 2005 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He has been employed by the Allen Company, Inc. since 2000 and is an Executive Vice President/civil engineer with the Allen Company, Inc. Amongst other duties, he manages the Company’s Asphalt Production, legislative affairs, and helps oversee the estimating and engineering department. He is also involved with the project management for construction projects and oversees most IT and technology initiatives for the Company.
In addition to work at the Allen Company, Grant is involved in the following industry associations:
· Plantmix Asphalt Industries of Kentucky – Incoming Board President (2024-2025) and Past President (2019-2020)
· KAHC Board of Directors
· Kentuckians for Better Transportation – Past Board Chairman (2020-2021)
· UK College of Engineering Construction Industry Advisory Committee – Current Member
· KCSA – Safety and Marketing Subcommittees
In addition to industry work, Grant is a graduate of Leadership Kentucky, Class of 2018. He is also a past President of God’s Pantry Food Bank’s Board of Directors (2016-2018) helping feed underserved citizens in 50 Kentucky Counties.
Grant and his wife Royanne reside in Richmond with their three children, Ames (8), Margot (7), and Winnie (5). They attend Saint Mark Catholic Church and are members of the Lexington Club and the University Club at Arlington.
