Brian Wood earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky. Since graduating in 1996, he has only worked for two organizations. He spent four years doing geotechnical explorations and materials testing at Law Engineering and Environmental Services.

For the past 20 years, he has been solely focused on one material and that’s asphalt. Brian serves as the Executive Director of the Plantmix Asphalt Industry of Kentucky and is a licensed engineer in the state of Kentucky. He is the primary liaison between the asphalt industry and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and frequently provides technical assistance to architects and engineers on issues such as pavement design, materials selection and quality control testing.
