Conservation Equipment, Soil Science & Land Use

Course Description: Students will learn how to enhance the natural landscape for the conservation of wildlife, soil, and fresh water ecosystems. Students will learn heavy equipment operation and safety, land use assessment, basic plane surveying, and soil science.

Wildlife Science

Course Description: Students will learn how to apply wildlife management principles to natural and working landscapes to enhance ecosystem productivity. Students will learn about wildlife tracking skills, fisheries science, wildlife ecology, and GIS mapping.

Introduction to Forest Science

Course Description: Students will learn fundamentals of maple syrup production, timber harvesting skills, chainsaw maintenance, tree classification and identification, log scaling, and concepts of forest ecology.

Advanced Forest Science
