Financial Condition: 1200INR/month 4 family members: Sagun lives in Habibpur, Malda with his parents, elder sister. They have a 100 day job card, Certificate from the local municipality office. Sagun is the youngest among 6 children with 5 elder sisters. 4 of them got married and the 5th sister just finished HS. Sagun is a very soft spoken kid. Both his class teacher (Bijit Goswami) and headmaster (Dipak Pal) were very enthusiastic about him. Sagun wants to study Science and in the future wants to become an engineer. His house is made out of mud and though it has electricity officially but not present most of the time. Rather it took me 2 days just trying to contact him. His father has 100day job card as he mentioned in the form. He really wants to pursue science and hopes for us to help him. Currently he has no proper assurance of funding only the gram panchayat (namely Kistu Murmu), informing him to ask them if he needs help. He does have a ST certificate. His teacher (Bijit) and Sagun mentioned that he has to go to Jilla school to study science and most of the teachers will teach him for free as almost everyone knows him as a local good kid.
