Financial Condition: Anusuya lives with her parents and younger sister (in Class 8) in a single-room concrete house. Their kitchen is inside the same room. Her father works as a labourer in other people's fields, and her mother does biri batha work. They have some goats.
The family's income prior to the pandemic had been approximately INR 3000 - 4000 per month. During the COVID-19 lockdown, they had suffered heavily with her parents not having jobs for six to seven months. They survived on ration, help from other people, and their goats.
Ambition: She wants to study nursing in the future.
Source: With the COVID-19 pandemic having affected Class 10 board exams this year, deserving students were connected to Padakshep via educationalists and others working to ensure that meritorious students were able to continue their studies. Anusuya was referred to the team by her HM Mr. Nirmalendu.
