Description

The Pacific Willow is a tree with long leaves that shine under the sunshine. The tree produces catkins. 

Geography: 

The tree is commonly found  in the Pacific Northwest. 

Growing Conditions:

It grows where it is wet or moist. It survives in the cold. 

Survival Traits

 This plant can survive floods. 

Wildlife: 

Elk like to eat the shoots. Pollinators visit the catkins.

Lifecycle and Reproduction: 

The seeds are tiny and in fluff balls that the wind carries. 

Interesting Facts: 

The Pacific Willow has been used to make medicine. Parts of the tree can be used to relieve toothaches.
