Description

Goatsbeard is a perennial plant of North America. It is a large bush with big fluffy cream flowers. The flowers sit on top of big mounds of green leaves. 

Geography: 

Goatsbeard grows in North America and Western Europe. It is commonly found from Indiana to Pennsylvania and south to Alabama. 

Growing Conditions:

Goatsbeard grows best in the woods in rich soil and shade. It can grow in the sun with lots of water. They grow slowly for the first few seasons. 

Survival Traits

Female Goatsbeard produce poisonous seeds. This plant is hardy.

Wildlife: 

Goatsbeard attracts beads and butterflies. It is bunny resistant. 

Interesting Facts: 

Goatsbeard is pest and disease free. The scientific name is Aruncus Dioicus.
