Description:
The Big Leaf Maple’s name explains itself. The Big leaf Maple’s leaf is shaped like a starfish. It’s greenish yellow then turns brown and falls off the tree and comes back each year. It can be one hundred feet tall. Its leaf is shaped like palmately lobed. There are five lobes on each leaf. The leaf edges are double serrated.

Interesting Facts:
The Big Leaf Maple can support a treehouse. It grows fast. It grows on the western coast of Oregon. Its scientific name is acer Macrophyllum.
