Please join our first-ever Oxford and Cambridge Society bike ride on Saturday May 7th, starting out at 9:00 am. (Rain or shine!)
This will be a leisurely cycle along the historic Minuteman Bikeway, a paved multi-use trail that goes from Alewife to Bedford via Lexington. The trail closely approximates the route that Paul Revere took on his famous ride in 1775. The ride will start and finish near Alewife T station, and will take about 2-3 hours, depending upon our speed and whether participants would like to go all the way to Bedford or turn around at Lexington.
Participants should be comfortable riding on a shared use trail that can get busy on weekends. Blue Bikes may be available for rent at docks by Alewife T and near the start of the trail.
Participation is limited to 12, and we will ride in two groups of 6 to avoid crowding the trail. Please register no more than one additional guest. When you sign up, you will be sent suggestions for dress, what to bring, and directions to our starting point. The ride will be led by Jason Ng and Amanda Weis Perrone.
