OVEC is proud to introduce the Center for Leadership, a forward-thinking initiative that is designed to empower educational leaders at every level. At the heart of OVEC’s Center for Leadership is a simple but powerful mission: to develop, support, and empower leaders at every level of education. Leadership is the cornerstone of effective schools, and when leaders are equipped with the right tools and guidance, they can create cultures of excellence that permeate entire districts.
Our vision is to cultivate leaders who are not only effective but also visionary—leaders who inspire their teams, engage their communities, and, most importantly, drive student success. Through the Center, we aim to create opportunities for collaboration and shared learning, where educational professionals across the board can connect, learn from one another, and grow together. By partnering with schools, districts, and external organizations, we are expanding our reach and amplifying the impact of leadership throughout our region.
SUPPORTING LEADERS COHORT
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Inaugural Cohort of Aspiring Leaders! This exceptional group of instructional leaders has been carefully selected to participate in a dynamic and transformative learning experience that unites the expertise of the University of Louisville, OVEC leaders, and districts across the OVEC region.
Throughout this program, cohort members will engage in meaningful professional learning opportunities designed to enhance their leadership capacity and prepare them for the challenges of educational leadership. They will also take part in Leadership Lab, a hands-on experience that provides a unique opportunity to address the critical question: "What systems and structures do leaders need to have in place to support high-quality teaching and learning?"
We are excited to embark on this journey of growth, collaboration, and learning alongside this incredible group of leaders. Thank you to Dr. Debbie Powers and Dr. Rachel Yarbrough for their mentoring and support from the University of Louisville.
