• This session is intended to provide an overview of the personal development  and growth offer available to students across the Trust. The personal development and growth work has been designed and implemented as the direct result of work with all stakeholders and experts, and students have been the key drivers in developing this programme. All schools are committed to ensuring that we support our young people to become the best version of themselves and it is exciting and innovative work. The session will also cover aspects of the new inspection framework and how Ofsted will inspect this aspect of our curriculum.

The session will cover:

• Evidence-based effective ways to mark written work, reducing workload but ensuring feedback is very specific.

• Checking for understanding and addressing misconceptions through live monitoring and a stress free culture where mistakes are part of the learning process as well as ensuring students produce clear effective SRT in their books, actively acting upon the targets given to them and producing clearly visible improved work in their books.

• This session will cover the key knowledge and practicalities for clerking GDC meetings, whether exclusion or suspension reviews. It will go through the entire process but with focus on the GDC elements and the practicalities around panels, evidence, adjournments and your role. We will also cover reconsideration of decisions after an IRP, and the arrangements, decisions and impact of those so you are best placed to advise your panels.

Induction Tutors are asked to prioritise their attendance to this session as it will count towards engagement with mandatory training.
