This training is all about training and empowering all staff across Outwood who regularly manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process. An RFQ is a formal way of inviting suppliers to submit a bid for a specific product or service, ensuring you get the best value for money. Navigating procurement can seem daunting, but it's a vital part of running an effective MAT. A transparent and efficient procurement process ensures public funds are used wisely and helps you meet legal and financial obligations, such as those set out in the new Procurement Act 2023 and the Academies Financial Handbook.
By the end of this session, you'll be able to:
Understand the rules: Learn the key procurement thresholds and how to follow them correctly.
Get the best value: Know how to create a clear RFQ that attracts competitive and quality bids.
Reduce risk: Ensure your processes are fair and compliant, protecting the Trust from legal or financial issues.
