• This session is intended to provide an overview of the personal development and growth offer available to students across the Trust. The personal development and growth work has been designed and implemented as the direct result of work with all stakeholders and experts, and students have been the key drivers in developing this programme. All schools are committed to ensuring that we support our young people to become the best version of themselves and it is exciting and innovative work. The session will also cover aspects of the new inspection framework and how Ofsted inspect this aspect of our curriculum.

• Overview of DfE mental health-related guidance and Trust policy and practice regarding promoting the wellbeing of children and staff

• Introduction to prevalent issues and trends, and any mitigating actions

• Suitable for all governors but highly recommended for the Mental Health Link Governor

This session forms part of the OIE's Governor Professional Development Offer and will provide attendees with an:

• Introduction to the Ofsted EIF and School Inspection Handbook and the use of the SEF and SIP in inspection

• Overview of different types of inspection

• Practical advice on preparing for an inspection and potential inspector questioning

• Introduction to the (phase-specific) curriculum and the mechanisms for quality assuring its implementation

• Introduction to the use of assessment

• Practical advice on what governors should be looking for when undertaking learning walks

• Introduction to the IDSR, its use by inspectors and how it may be used by governors to support and challenge
