As a student and a researcher ...

I am fortunate to have a very diverse study and research experience in the US 🇺🇸 and China🇨🇳

  • Fall 2021, incoming MA student at Columbia University.

  • Fall 2020, full-time research assistant at Natural Language Processing Lab at Tsinghua University, working on NLP + causal inference.

  • Fall 2019 - Summer 2020, part-time research assistant at New York University Shanghai, working on computational social science.

  • Fall 2018 - Spring 2019, exchange student at University of California, Berkeley

  • 2016-2020, undergraduate at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics

I have a broad interest in many areas. I'm most interested in knowledge discovery, using tools in natural language processing and causal inference. I was super fortunate to work with Professor Bruno Abrahao, Professor Paolo Parigi, and Professor Anqi Zhao during my undergrads.

For researchers, you may want to head to the Works page, where you can find my academic papers and works in Natural Language Processing and Causal Inference. You can reach me at zhu.chenyang@columbia.edu
