Interview With Ms Alia
By Theo B. and Ginu L.
Ms Alia says, "I like taking walks and being active and hanging out with my friends. I enjoy being with people. I think Hillcrest could have more conversations on diversity and equity. When I'm in a hard situation I usually try to understand other people's perspectives. The empathy tool is my favorite tool, I think it helps people to be kind and understand one another. I love the kids and families and the staff at Hillcrest. In other words I love the people at Hillcrest. My favorite book is, "The Other Boy" it is about a transgender kid. I think that when kids get upset they should listen to one another because I think that there is almost always a reason when people are upset. I have organized a advocacy for families who don't have enough resources.
I became a psychologist because I could help people make their lives the easiest it could be. My favorite thing about being a psychologist is that `I can work with people. I like teaching kids because I just love learning about other people."
