Book Of The Week

The book of the week is Starlight. Starlight is about a girl who has moved to a new town. She makes friends with a girl next door; but this girl next door has a mental illness to make her see things. For instance she thought she was from the moon and her goal was to get there. Together both friends go to school together and have a blast. Then they get in a fight and things start getting crazy. What will they do to stop and help? Find out in Starlight.
Story Of The Week

Mason looked over the top of his book. He put his hands into his desk to grab a piece of candy. Then he unwrapped it. Mason turned it in his hands and got ready to pop it into mouth. Mason's hand shot up toward his open mouth which was waiting for the sweet taste of candy. His teacher decided to turn around that exact moment. " You're eating candy in my class!" He thundered. " Go to the principals now!" "Yes Sur" Answered Mason. As Mason walked through the isle he could feel peoples eyes on his back. Mason whispered goodbye to his class, and his school.

Adopt A Drain
Oakland is doing a volunteer thing called Adopt a Drain. You can adopt a drain anywhere in Oakland ( We recommend as close to your house as possible. ) Than after each storm you clean and clear out the drain so it dosen't clog up which can cause a flood. Plus you get to name the Drain a cute name. Adopting a drain comes with a big responsibiliy but can help you get out of the house when you are feeling lazy or bored.
