We're writing this because more than half of the school participated in the annual Science Fair. And because it is a fun experience for those who participate.
The science fair started again in 2023, but many people didn't know about it then. The Science Fair of 2024 had a much bigger turnout. If you get 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, you get a medal or trophy (depending on the year). But you also move on to the OUSD-wide Science Fair, where the other school winners will also present their projects. Anyone can look at all the amazing work of students from all over Oakland. The OUSD Science Fair will be on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 4:30 - 6:30 PM at Oakland High School. People who move on to the OUSD Science Fair and participate recieve a medal and t-shirt so that you can remember teh 2024 Science Fair!
