As you all probably know is almost the walkathon. The Walkathon will be taking place at Hillcrest on Saturday, April 29th. To find out more look at the flyer that your teacher has given every student. We hope to see all of you there.
We Apologize
Hello, the Hillcrest Globe wants to apologize, we will be publishing an episode this week, but unfortanatley the librarian, Ms Rachel wasn't here today so we won't have a full episode. We will have one or two articles or segments in the epispode. Let's just hope we'll be able to-do a full episode next week.
Top Ten Summer Camps Coming
Hello, the Hillcrest Globe is having the top 10 most popular summer camps at Hillcrest. You can help out by giving one to three favorite summer camps. Then we will report back to you and you can hear what most of the kids, in other words, the majority of kids think.

Adopt A Drain
Oakland is doing a volunteer thing called Adopt a Drain. You can adopt a drain anywhere in Oakland ( We recommend as close to your house as possible. ) Then after each storm you clean and clear out the drain so it doesn't clog up which can cause a flood. Plus you get to name the Drain a cute name. Adopting a drain comes with a big responsibility but can help you get out of the house when you are feeling lazy or bored.

We have a fest coming up! Find 10 points to get a certificate. This certificate will have your name and the numbers you achieved and the location where you found them. After this there will be another fest but it will be a scavenger hunt. You find ten post its and find out the word on it. Then come back for another certificate.
