Restorative Justice & Its Responsibility to Racial Justice

There is no restorative justice without racial justice. In Oakland Unified School District, we have been implementing restorative justice since 2006, and it is our belief that to do this work effectively, we have to do restorative justice with a racial justice lens, which includes honoring the Indigenous roots of the work.
