Science Fair

K-12 District Science Fair

All K-12 OUSD schools are invited to participate in the 2018 OUSD K-12 District Science Fair on May 21-23 at the Chabot Space & Science Center. The public evening celebration will take place from 5-8 pm on May 23. Please reference the 2018 Science Fair Participation Guidelines for more information.

In addition to the 200 science fair projects on display, the drop in event will feature special activities from partner organizations. Chabot exhibits and the planetarium will also be open. Food and drinks will be served. Students, families, staff, and the community are all invited to attend this public event. Admission is free. Click here for directions.

Teachers can print invitations to the Science Fair here (also linked below). Please print for your students and their families.

Please note that the District Science Fair features top projects from school site fairs. The District event is not judged. All participating projects will receive a custom certificate, medal, and ribbon.

2017 OUSD K-12 Science Fair

The 2017 OUSD K-12 Science Fair took place on May 15-17 at the Chabot Space & Science Center. 33 schools participated and submitted 190 projects. The evening celebration featured activities from 11 partner organizations.

Alameda County Science & Engineering Fair

Students and teachers who are interested in entering higher level regional competition can sign up for the Alameda County Science and Engineering Fair every March. Please note that this event is independent of participation in the OUSD Science Fair.
