St Andrew's Presbyterian Church is proud to host an evening of music to warm hearts featuring Cantabile Youth Choir, Melos Choir, Spencer Evans & Friends and The Buckateers!
St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church has been a popular location for our unhoused neighbours, their steps have been a refuge for people seeking safety and community. Inside, St Andrew's has hosted Kingston Street Mission, currently hosts The Mess Studio Kingston, and has generously made their manse available to house men in Ryandale - Transitional Housing's program.
An Evening of Music to Warm Hearts will not only be a melange of fun musical performers, but also an opportunity for the audience to meet some of our local heroes who are supporting people without homes. Gnome for a Home, Community Friends in Motion, Ryandale and Our Livable Solutions will be at the concert to share their programs with you.

Cantabile is a community-based performing arts and music education organization. Founded in 1996 as a community choral organization, Cantabile has grown to offer a wide variety of musical education and performance opportunities for singers of all ages. Cantabile is dedicated to maintaining the highest standard of musical excellence – our programs have been recognized internationally for innovation and artistry, and our performance often attract sell-out audiences.
Spencer Evans is a renowned keyboardist, singer/entertainer and clarinetist. He performs extensively in Kingston with the Mourning Doves (Classic Jazz and Originals), Ghetto Express (Funk and Soul), the Goat Steppers (New Orleans Street Parade Jazz) and countless solo/duo/trio formats for tour boats, patios, festivals, and corporate and private events.
Melos Choir is an auditioned choir, active in Kingston for over 30 years. Most of our 32 singers are experienced choristers/musicians with a particular passion for early music across a range of periods and cultures. Our section leaders/soloists are voice teachers or cantors; have sung in groups like Tafelmusik, the Elmer Iseler Singers, the Canadian Opera Company; or are students/ recent grads of Queen's. The choir membership provides the backbone of our fundraising and Board of Directors. Thus we support Melos' active educational outreach in the community to instrumentalists and vocalists interested in period performance. We have a lot of fun and enjoy learning together with each outreach endeavour.
