Subject: Chinese New year Term 3: February 2019
Before the February weekend P4 informed and entertained us with facts and songs about Chinese New Year. P4 demonstrated how they had developed their creative, literacy and performance skills by sharing art work, acrostic poems and songs. Each pupil displayed confidence in talking and listening during the delivery of their lines and performances.
Thank you to everyone who helped support our pupils in their learning in preparation for their assembly.
Subject: St Andrew Term 2: November 2018
In celebration of St Andrew's Day P6 lead an assembly sharing what they had learned about our patron saint. The pupils shared key information about St Andrew's life, work and death before reciting sensational rhyming poems that they had written to showcase their learning. P6 also demonstrated their musical talents with their performances of iconic hymns and Scottish songs. Following the example of St Andrew Primary 6 lead the school and wider community in prayer to end their assembly.
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who showed their support of our pupils by attending their fantastic assembly and to those who helped them prepare for their role beforehand.
Subject: Anti Bullying Term 2: November 2018
Last week P5 entertained and informed the pupils of the school and family friends with their anti bullying assembly. They shared their learning about what bullying is and how children can deal with this if it happens to them.
The pupils showed off their performance skills with drama sketches to illustrate how a group of children dealt with bullying scenarios and beautiful renditions of songs with strong messages of inclusion and acceptance of others.
Thank you to everyone who supported our pupils in their learning and attended their wonderful assembly.
