Te Waipuna and BSLA

Te Waipuna use the Better Start Literacy Approach (BSLA) as our phonics and reading programme. BSLA is a structured approach that helps children develop key skills in sounds, letters, words, speaking, listening, spelling, writing, and reading. It supports students through planned lessons and assessments, following the New Zealand Curriculum. BSLA is especially helpful for young learners and those who need extra support.
