A little bit about me...

I attended Oceanside Schools since the third grade. Started at Palmquist Elementary and then went to Jefferson and graduated from Oceanside High School. I went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree and a teaching credential from Cal State San Marcos and San Diego State University.

I have three daughters named Gabi, Bibi, and Maya. All three have attended schools in Oceanside and have loved it! All three have also played competitive soccer and have been part of the Junior Lifeguards program in our beautiful city.

Some of my favorite things...

Favorite Stores: Target, Nike

Favorite Drink: A good coffee, "cafejito" is always good

Favorite Color: Green

Favorite Team: Club León FC

Some of my hobbies include...

  • Early morning runs. This is an awesome and refreshing way to start my days. This year, my goal is to run 2 half marathons.
  • Watching my daughters and students play soccer or the sport/activity they love. So, let me know your child's schedule, I would love to come out and cheer him/her on!

This is my 21st year teaching and most of those years have been at the primary level. I love teaching children to read, something about the expression on their face when they "get it"!

I believe in working together with the families and the community I serve -together we can accomplish so much more! Volunteers are always welcomed.

I was honored and humbled to have been recognized as "Teacher of the Year" in 2016 by the Oceanside Unified School District.

I love working at Mission Elementary -so much, that I even brought my daughter Maya with me!

Looking forward to an amazing 2018-2019 school year. I 'd like to thank you in advance for your support and involvement in your child's education!
