Weekly Announcements

Here's what's happening at Ohio Schools this week.

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL OF YOU! BIG HI TO THE STUDENTS I SAW OUT AND ABOUT YESTERDAY WALKING OR JUST GETTING SOME FRESH AIR!

Your Ohio School staff is working hard for you

We will, to the best of our ability, meet the unique needs of our

community of students/families including students with special education plans. Each teacher’s

plan will be specific to their grade-level material and goals. We will assume flexibility in the plan

as we work to implement the recommendations put forth by the Illinois State Board of

Education.

COMMUNICATION!

Our team is using communication platforms that our students/families are familiar with and

that currently exist in our school system (TeacherEase, email, phone, Google Classroom, Google

Docs, Hangouts, etc.)

They are accessible to parents/guardians and students. We encourage

two-way communication and continue to provide expectations clearly. We will continue to try

to reach all students and families, by phone if necessary.

COLLECTION OF WORK/VIEWING OF WORK

Our team will use a combination of ways, clearly explained to parents, for collecting and

viewing work; email, pictures, digital means, or collection of or drop of packets on Fridays.

READ CAREFULLY!

 Ohio staff have been and will continue to provide instructional activities throughout any school closure. Our goal is for students to continue working on packets and online activities during all days of school closures, including spring break.

 Work that students complete will be used to positively impact their grade, please encourage your student to complete all assigned work.

 Since we are asking staff and students to continue their learning activities next week, the District will be moving Spring Break to the end of the school year. More information will be provided once the State makes a final decision regarding Illinois Schools.

 If allowed by the State, and we have available Ohio staff to continue this undertaking, we will continue to deliver meals to students on Tuesdays and Fridays. In order to limit contact, meals will be left at your doorstep. Please remember that some items need to be refrigerated upon delivery.

 Until we are told otherwise, get outside and MOVE! Go for a walk, a run, or ride a bike. Just remember to keep a sage distance between you and your exercise partner.

 Remember your Ohio teachers and administrative staff are an email away! Contact us if you have any questions or concerns!
