Hello and welcome.  I am your enthusiastic teacher here at Villa Park High School. I have been teaching photography at VPHS since 2003. I also teach AP 2D Art and Design and AP Art History. I have a bachelor's degree in Photojournalism and a minor in Fine Art Photography. I also run a part-time portrait photography business. In 2021 I was named Orange County Teacher of the Year for the 2022 School Year. Prior to working in teaching, I worked in advertising, freelance photojournalism, marketing, and  held an internship in public relations media for the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana. I enjoy teaching this class because I get to see the joy and surprise of new students every year as they discover the wonders of photography and art. When not teaching, I like to spend time outdoors with my husband and three children.
