American Century Honors (Grade 10) 1 Credit

Prerequisite: Honors World History

The content is identical to the college prep course, but greater depth of coverage and student involvement with using the content will be stressed. The skills of historical and critical analysis will form a basis for the investigation of how history shapes and is shaped by culture. Class discussions, presentations, projects, essays, and the reading of pertinent novels will create a heavier workload under a set of heightened expectations. Prospective students need to be able to read efficiently, write effectively, and work expeditiously. Students will be expected to purchase supplemental materials.
