The culmination of a three-year sequence begun in the eighth grade, this course continues the history of the United States while setting it within a global historical and cultural context. American history since 1877 will be stressed in depth, with the breadth and specific developments of world events providing the backdrop for understanding who we are and what role we have as citizens of the contemporary world.
