Algebra 1 1 Credit
Prerequisite: Math 8
The units in this course include relationships between quantities and reasoning with equations, linear and exponential relationships, descriptive statistics, expressions and equations, and quadratic functions and modeling. (SC) A graphing calculator will be provided.
Algebra II 1 Credit
Prerequisite: Geometry concurrently
The units in this course include polynomial, rational, and radical relationships, trigonometric functions, modeling with functions, and inferences and conclusions from data. (GC)
Honors Algebra II/Trigonometry 1 credit
Prerequisite: Geometry and Accelerated Algebra I
The units in this course include all of the Algebra II units, as well as indicated “plus” topics such as extending polynomial identities, the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra, the Binomial Theorem, arithmetic operations on complex numbers, operations on matrices, solve systems using matrices, analyze functions using different representations (logarithmic and trigonometric), extend the domain of trigonometric functions using the Unit Circle, prove and apply trigonometric identities, model periodic phenomena using sine and cosine functions, translate between the geometric description and the equation for a conic section.
