English II (Grade 10) 1 Credit

Prerequisite: English I

English II College Preparatory emphasizes writing in narrative, expository, argumentative and business writing forms. Continued work on expository writing includes refinement of the multi-paragraph composition with emphasis on focus, support and organization. Students will also learn how to conduct formalized and sustained research projects, including an outline and work cited page. The study of literature will focus on a blend between fiction and non-fiction.
