Introduction to Architecture (Grade 9-12) 1/2 Credit
Prerequisite: Design Technology or Instructor Approval
Students will study historic architectural eras as they learn to identify Egyptian, Greek, Roman and other architectural styles. Students will learn how to draw floor plans for contemporary houses utilizing AutoDesk Revit and/or AutoCAD. Students will also have an opportunity to enter a Home Design Contest and build a full model of their design.
Product and Architectural Design (Grade 9-12) 1/2 Credit
Prerequisite: Design Technology or Instructor Approval
Students will work independently on ideas for either product or architectural design. A class designed to utilize your knowledge of CAD, 3D-Solid Modeling as well as design fundamentals. Students are expected to communicate their original designs to professional Architects or Engineers as the final project in the course.
