Spelling Bee

OPHS 12th Grader Rahul Naveen won the Spelling Bee in 8th grade. Rahul's winning word was "diadromous." Rahul proceeded to compete in the Ventura County Bee on March 3, where he was declared champion. Rahul outlasted 130 competitors and 29 rounds before winning with "effervescence." With much pride, Rahul represented Ventura County at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. This was a first for Oak Park Unified.
