Multi-tiered Systems of Support at Oak Park & River Forest High School

MTSS: Robust instruction. Meaningful engagement. Evidence-based intervention. Informative assessment.

Welcome to the Oak Park & River Forest High School Multi-tiered System of Support website. The purpose of this site is to provide information on our MTSS framework, including Literacy and Mathematics. For a more comprehensive picture of our school's offerings, please visit the school's official website at www.oprfhs.org.

What is MTSS?

MTSS or Multi-tiered System of Supports is a cohesive continuum of robust instruction and responsive supports that are evidence-based, continuously progress monitored, and progressively more intensive. An MTSS perspective facilitates a systems-wide improvement model and helps answer the question "what does each student need?"

MTSS & Response to Intervention

Response to Intervention, within the MTSS framework, focuses on students' response to instruction and intervention. Levels of support increase based on the student's demonstrated needs and decrease based on achievement toward grade-level proficiency and growth.
