The OCR A Level in Mathematics enables students to develop essential knowledge and understanding across various areas of mathematics and how they interconnect. Students will cultivate a deep appreciation for mathematical concepts and develop competence and confidence in a variety of practical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. This course encourages students to engage with different branches of mathematics, fostering their interest and enthusiasm for the subject. Additionally, students will explore how mathematics influences decision-making in society and contributes to advancements in technology, science, and the economy, preparing them for future challenges and opportunities in a range of fields.
Students should be proficient and confident in Art and Design, have some understanding of practical working, and have a desire to contribute creatively. The following requirements also apply:

For A-level mathematics, OAS presently employs the Edxcel Exam Board. The course is divided into two units 12 and year 13 across three Courses.

Pure Math Unit 1 - 14 chapters
Statistics Unit 1 – 7 Chapters
Mechanics Unit 1- 4 chapters
Year 13
Pure Math Unit 2 – 12 Chapters
Statistic Unit 2- 3 Chapters
Mechanics Unit 2- 5 Chapters
Examinations are at the end of year 13
The exam consists of three papers:
Paper 1 Pure Math – 2hours
Paper 2 Pure Math – 2 hours
Paper 3 Statistics and Mechanics -2 hours
