Activate Your Scotiabank Card Online
Go to web browser and visit the scotiabank.com/activate website.
Click the "Activate Your Card" button to begin the card activation process.
Now, enter your card number, the card expiration date, the 3-digit cvv code, the card PIN located on the paper your card was attached to and the text displayed in the image and click Submit.
Now, enter cardholder's date of birth and your zip code.
Congratulations! your card will be activated and ready for use.
How to use 2-Step Cerification?
Step 1: Activate 2-step verification
Sign in to the scotiabank.com/activate, select More at the bottom of your screen, select Privacy and security, then select 2- step verification. You’ll then be asked to activate 2SV using your current mobile phone or tablet. This will now be your primary trusted device.
Step 2: Verify your identity
Whenever you access your account on a device you haven’t used before, we’ll need to verify that it's you using your primary trusted device. Open the push notification on your primary trusted device and select Yes, it’s me to continue signing in.
Step 3: Help protect your account from fraud
Are you seeing a notification on your primary trusted device asking you to verify your identity even if you haven’t logged in? Someone may be trying to access your account. Select No, it’s not me to block them. After this, update your password as soon as you can.
