Redress, Hong Kong’s largest clothing drive NGO is working with Island School’s environmental student council WANBO to host an Interhouse Clothing Drive. All students and parents, starting from now until half term, can drop off unused, clean clothes at the Rutherford House Office, to help earn house points in the competition! Collected clothes will be sold at the WANBO Charity Bazaar, which will take place on the 12th of October, during lunch break, in the G/F courtyard, with prices ranging from $5-20!
Here are some requirements that must be met in order to donate clothes:
Try to ensure all clothing is clean prior to being donated
The Clothing Drives Accepts:
All menswear
All womenswear
All baby and children’s clothing
Quality accessories including handbags and scarves
The Clothing Drive does NOT accept:
Mouldy clothing
School uniforms
Shoes
Work uniforms
Home textiles
This event will be running all the way until the 14th of October, when students will be able to drop any unwanted clothing items in a designated box in your House Office. Where the House that collects the most items of clothing will be crowned the winner of this interhouse! We appeal to all students and parents to clear out the wardrobes and cupboards. Remember that 1 piece of clothing donated is equal to 1 point. So best of luck to all Rutherfordians, and let’s rise to the challenge and try our very best!!!
