Every Student - Every Day

We believe all students should be engaged in meaningful content and learning. Our focus is on mastery of skills and grade level standards to the depth required for students to be demonstrably proficient. In our classrooms, time is used intentionally and students are the focus and priority where they are doing the thinking, can verbalize their learning, and actively participate in classroom discussions.

10 Midframes for Visible Learning

In Ten Mindframes for Visible Learning, John Hattie and Klaus Zierer define the ten behaviors or mindframes that teachers need to adopt in order to maximize student success. These include:

These powerful mindframes, which should underpin every action in schools, are founded on the principle that teachers are evaluators, change agents, learning experts, and seekers of feedback who are constantly engaged with dialogue and challenge.

CULTURIZE

In Culturize, author and education leader Jimmy Casas shares insights into what it takes to cultivate a community of learners who embody the innately human traits our world desperately needs, such as kindness, honesty, and compassion. His stories reveal how these “soft skills” can be honed while meeting and exceeding academic standards of twenty-first-century learning.

You’ll learn...How to reach those who seem unreachable. What to do when students disengage or drop out of school. How to ensure your learners feel cared for and empowered and how to create an environment where all learners are challenged and inspired to be their best.

When You Wonder, You're Learning

When You Wonder, You’re Learning reveals this never-before-seen side of America’s favorite neighbor, exploring how Mr. Rogers nurtured the “tools for learning” now deemed essential for school, work, and life. These tools can boost academic performance, social-emotional well-being, and even physical health. They cost almost nothing to develop, and they’re up to ten times more predictive of children’s success than test scores.

No wonder it’s been called “a must-read for anyone who cares about children.” With insights from thinkers, scientists, and teachers — many of whom worked with Rogers himself — When You Wonder, You’re Learning helps kids and the people who care for them do what Rogers taught best: become the best of whoever they are.
