About OneHope in South Africa

Southern Africa is the southernmost subregion of the African continent, south of the Congo and Tanzania. The physical location is the large part of Africa to the south of the extensive Congo River basin. Southern Africa region of the African continent, comprising the countries of Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Madagascar, Mauritius, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe. It is the only country in the world to contain an entire floral kingdom. South African grasslands have approximately 30 species per square kilometre, greater than the biodiversity of rainforests.

OneHope is currently actively in 8 countries, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Madagascar, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. While South Africa and many of the Southern Africa countries are rich in minerals, it is still facing many socio-economic challenges such as; high unemployment rates, poverty, social inequality, and inadequate public service access. To date, those challenges continue to grip Southern African people and affect their quality of life. OneHope Southern Africa beliefs the mobilisation of the church is critical especially with an emphasis on effective ministry to the next generation, who are the future leaders of these nations.
