What a Cowboy!
What a Cowboy is a set of fun wargames rules for gunfights in the Wild West, ideally between four and ten figures a side. Players have some measure of control over their Characters and their creation, but like other Lardie Games (Chain of Command). You have to be ok with not having complete control over what is going on or what options you have to work with. Each Character may come with skills and traits that make them individual and over the course of a number of games they can develop those skills still further, maybe moving from a Greenhorn to a legend of the Wild West. Each character has a number of Action Dice that serve as both their potential actions in a turn, and these also double as the hit points for the Characters. As they take damage, they become more limited and erratic. Every shot counts, with every bullet having the potential of dealing a crippling injury, in the right circumstance. The game aims to be quick-flowing and easy, with cinematic action being a clear choice over gritty realism and rules crunch.
The game is miniature agnostic, with great ranges available from Black Scorpion Miniatures, Foundry, Great Escape Games and many others.
