My name is Debbie Padalis and this is my 5th year teaching at Our Lady of Victory. I got my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Information Systems from Western Michigan University. After being in the business world for many years, I decided to take some time off to be with my children. After helping out at their school, I decided to go back to school to get my teaching degree. I attended Wayne State University where I received my teaching certificate in K-8 with endorsements in middle school math and social studies, and a Masters of Arts in Teaching. Before coming to OLV I was at St. Fabian in Farmington Hills for 11 year where I taught computer class, 2nd grade, and middle school social studies.
My husband Don and I have two adult children, John and Kirsten, and a dog CC. In July, my son, John, got married to Amanda and they live locally in the Detroit area. My daughter Kirsten, graduated this past spring from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY and is now living in Dusseldorf, Germany where she is playing women’s ice hockey.
I love teaching social studies. I enjoy introducing different cultures to our 6th & 7th graders and teaching our 8th graders our country’s history. These areas help our students become well rounded individuals. Please go to each grade's sub page to read what is covered in each class.
