Welcome to Middle School Literature! I am excited to be starting my 28th year teaching English. I have taught middle school for 25 years, but I am thrilled to return to my second year teaching Literature at Our Lady of Victory.
I graduated from MSU in 1990 and earned my master’s degree in 2001. Together my husband and I share 5 children: my two are Kate and Matthew; my three step-children are Mac, Lauren, and Mara. Three of our children are in college, and two live on their own in NYC. Our two cats and Ginger, our cockapoo, keep us company at our home in downtown Northville.
Your Literature class will consist of reading independently, studying literature, and learning new vocabulary. I hope to provide an exciting year full of meaningful reading and creative, critical thinking.
Below are links to my google classroom pages for each grade where you can find my classroom syllabus and future announcements and assignments thereafter. The syllabus is sent home with each student during the first week of school and signed by the student and parent.
Please encourage your child to email me with questions and concerns about the class. In partnership with parents and students, I hope to provide an exciting year of growth and learning.
